Description
Oroxylin a belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 6-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C6 atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, oroxylin a is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. Oroxylin a is considered to be a practically insoluble (in water) and relatively neutral molecule. Oroxylin a can be converted into oroxylin a 7-O-beta-D-glucuronide.
